West Union

Completed in 1931, the West Campus Union was the original location of the university‘s cornerstone. The basement once served as the school‘s "Main Street" with a soda shop, post office, bookstore, bank and laundry. Occupants now include several dining halls, the DukeCard office, the Faculty Commons, and the Mary Lou Williams Center for Black Culture.
