Home Depot Smart Home

From Duke Wiki

The Smart House project, based in the Pratt School of Engineering, is aimed at developing a "living laboratory" in which students may both live and work in an experimental space meant to prove the feasability of technologies designed to improve homespaces in the future.

Equally important to the construction of the smart house is the student engineering program, open to ALL undergraduate and graduate students. This organization of over 50+ members is focused on hands-on, interdisciplinary, and team-based engineering projects. With substantial funding, faculty support, and industry collaboration, the Duke SmartHouse program is a great opportunity for enthusiastic students to make an impact. Visit the Duke SmartHouse webpage for more information and contact Mark Gu at sg58@duke.edu if interested.
