Fraternities and Sororities
From Duke Wiki
The 35 fraternities and sororities on Duke's campus are diverse and distinct in their memberships and missions. Some focus on community service, some on cultural awareness, and some on scholarship, but they all have one thing in common: they all foster community spirit, leadership, personal growth and bonds that can last a lifetime.

At Duke, the Greek system is comprised of four umbrella organizations:
- The Inter-Greek Council (IGC) serves the interests of the multicultural fraternities and sororities at Duke.
- The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the umbrella for 14 national fraternities.
- The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the umbrella for the seven historically African-American fraternities and sororities on campus.
- The Duke Panhellenic Association is the governing body of the nine National Panhellenic Conference sororities on campus.
