The Carlyle Cup is an all-sport competition between UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University. The name comes from the Sterling Silver and enamel trophy created by Carlyle & Co., jewelers based out of Greensboro, NC.

Currently the two schools compete in 23 sports, with 26 total points available. Football, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball are worth 2 points each, while the remaining 20 sports are worth one point each. In the event of a 13-13 tie, the victor of the previous year retains the trophy.

During the 2005-2006 year, UNC won the competition, 14 to 12.
